MAN-POWER TRAINING A CATALYST FOR EFFICIENT MANAGEMENT OF BUSINESS ENTERPRISES IN SELECTED BANKS IN MAIDUGURI
Abstract
Many organizations have over the years established good manpower
training and development programs in order to have better employee
performance at work and increased productivity. Good development
programs have not always been easy to attain in organization because of
the forces that impede against achievement of their objectives. Some of the
impeding forces include selections or recruitment problems, training
procedure and inadequate facilities, government policy, this paper attempts
to examine whether employees training enhances work efficiency in
Nigerian banking sector, Descriptive and inferential statistics were
employee, chi-square (X2) statistical tool was employed. Data was
generated through primary source. The findings revealed that effective
training is responsible for the employee’s efficiency and effectiveness in
their workplace. The paper recommends that Nigerian banks should
encourage good and quality training programme since it is responsible for
employees efficiency and effectiveness in their workplace.
